Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how OMD AS LTD ("Tähdet Games", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit tahdetgames.com (the "Service"). We designed the Service to collect as little personal data as reasonably possible while still meeting our security, anti-fraud, and legal obligations.
1. What we collect
When you visit the Service, we may collect the following:
- IP address — used to determine your approximate country (for geo-eligibility), to score visits for fraud risk (against automated-bot and abuse patterns), and to write short-lived server access logs.
- User-Agent string, Accept-Language header, and referring URL — used for the same fraud-prevention and analytics purposes.
- Session cookies — small, essential cookies set by the web framework (for example, anti-forgery tokens on the contact form). No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are set by Tähdet Games.
- Contact-form submissions — the name, email, and message you provide if and when you contact us via the on-site form. This data is used only to reply to your inquiry.
2. Local browser storage (localStorage)
The Service uses your browser's localStorage to save a handful of
small values that make gameplay work. These values never leave your
browser — they are not transmitted to our servers, and no third party
has access to them:
tg_coins— your current virtual Tähdet Coin balance;tg_daily_ts— the timestamp of your last daily-bonus claim;tg_age_ok— a flag indicating you confirmed you are 18+;tg_cookies— a flag indicating you dismissed the cookie banner.
You can clear these values at any time by clearing your browser's storage for the site.
3. Third-party services we rely on
We keep the third-party footprint deliberately small. The Service transmits your IP address (and only your IP address) to the following two providers, solely for fraud-prevention purposes:
- IPinfo — for approximate country-level geolocation.
- IPQualityScore — for automated-bot, proxy, VPN, and abuse scoring.
Neither provider receives your name, email, message content, or any personally-identifying information beyond your IP address. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing its handling of that data.
4. Advertising & analytics
Tähdet Games does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising tracker on this Service. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with advertising networks.
5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area, we process the limited personal data described above on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interest — fraud prevention, security, and enforcement of our age policy;
- Consent — where you dismiss the cookie banner or actively submit the contact form.
6. Data retention
Server access logs (which include IP address, User-Agent, and request path) are retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which they are deleted. Contact-form correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and then deleted, unless we are required to keep it for longer under applicable law. Tähdet Coins balances and daily-bonus timestamps live in your browser and are not retained by us at all.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- request portability of your data in a machine-readable format;
- object to or restrict processing of your data;
- lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman).

8. Children
The Service is not directed to and must not be used by persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has interacted with the Service, please contact us and we will delete any associated data.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at tahdetgames.com/privacy with the effective date shown at the top of the page.
